TOPSoccer

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training program for all athletes with intellectual, emotional, and or physical disabilities. The program strives to provide soccer opportunities (the opportunity of soccer) for players to develop at their own pace in a safe, fun, and supportive/inclusive environment.
What does it Entail?
Our program entails one fun training/game session each week.
Requirements?
All Athletes must be medically cleared by their PCP in order to participate in TOPSoccer.
Cost?
This program is funded by donations and sponsorships. Participation is free! The only cost at this time is $10 for a shirt.

Danessa Castaneda-Posen

Danessa is a Bilingual Special Education Teacher at Valle Vista Elementary School in Albuquerque. She is currently studying for her Master's Degree in Special Education from UNM. In the soccer community she holds a NMYSA TOPSoccer Coaches License and a USSF Grassroots License. She was also the 2020 State (NMYSA) and Regional (US Youth Soccer West Region) TOPSoccer Coach of the Year.

Michael E Posen

Michael is the Program Director for New Mexico Youth Soccer and the Executive Director for Corrales Soccer Club. He coaches many teams in Corrales and is a staff coach for the Olympic Development Program. He holds a USYS National TOPSoccer Coaches License, a USA Special Olympics Coaching License, an NFHS Unified Sports Coaching License, the USSF National C License and a NSCAA Director of Coaching License.
